Privacy Notice (KVKK)

This is a courtesy translation. The Turkish text is binding: Turkish version.

This notice has been prepared under Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (the Law) to inform you about how your personal data is processed when you use this website.

Data controller

The data controller is B-Kant Diagnostics.

  • Address: Sinanoba Mah. Ertekin Cad. A1-002 Blok No:1 Büyükçekmece / İstanbul
  • Telephone: +90 212 863 50 31
  • E-mail: info@b-kant.com

Personal data processed and purposes of processing

"Request Information" form. When you fill in the form, you send us the following information: name and surname, organisation (optional), telephone (optional), e-mail address, the product group you are interested in, quantity (optional), your message, and the ticking of the checkbox confirming that you have read this notice. We use this information to evaluate your request and to get back to you. The form content is delivered by e-mail to the B-Kant Diagnostics mailbox; it is not stored separately on the website's server.

IP address digest for security. To limit misuse of the form and automated submissions, a digest value generated from your IP address with a secret key is kept in counter files for form submissions. Your IP address is not written to these files in plain text. The counters are deleted when the longest limit period of 24 hours expires.

Error logs. An error log is kept on the server to fix technical errors of the website. The log records the time, type and technical message of the error. As a rule, form content and IP addresses are not written to the log.

Server connection records. The website runs on the servers of the hosting provider, and your visit passes through Cloudflare. These service providers may keep connection records such as IP address and request information for the operation and security of the service. These records are in the providers' own systems; their retention periods are subject to their policies.

Theme preference. Your choice of light, dark or system theme is kept only in your browser's local storage (key bk-theme). It is not a cookie, it is not sent to our server and it does not reach us. For details, see the Cookie Policy page.

The website has no user accounts, membership, payment or file upload, and no data is collected for these purposes.

Legal basis

Your personal data is processed on the basis of the conditions in Article 5 of the Law:

  • The information in the "Request Information" form is processed to evaluate your request and to respond to you. The checkbox in the form shows that you have read this notice. The processing is based on subparagraph (f) of the second paragraph of Article 5 of the Law, that is, the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not harmed.
  • The digest value generated from the IP address and the error logs are processed to ensure the security of the website and to prevent misuse, based on the legitimate interests of the data controller (Art. 5/2-f), provided that the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not harmed.

Your personal data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

Transfer of data

  • E-mail and hosting service: Your form content is transmitted and stored through the services of Natro (Turkey) for e-mail and server infrastructure.
  • Cloudflare: The website is served through the Cloudflare network for content delivery and security. Because your connection passes through this network, connection information such as your IP address may also be processed by Cloudflare on servers outside Turkey. Transfer abroad is subject to the conditions in Article 9 of the Law.
  • Your personal data is not transferred to third parties other than those above, and is not sold, unless there is a legal obligation or a request from an authorised authority.

Retention period

The information you send with the "Request Information" form is kept until your request is concluded and is deleted after 2 years at the latest. Counter files are kept for 24 hours at most. The error log file is renewed when it exceeds 5 MB, and only the previous file is kept. In accordance with Article 7 of the Law, when the purpose of processing no longer exists, your data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Your rights as a data subject

Under Article 11 of the Law, you may apply to the data controller to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is processed,
  • Request information if it has been processed,
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose,
  • Know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Turkey or abroad,
  • Request correction if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
  • Request deletion or destruction within the framework of the conditions in Article 7 of the Law, and request that these actions be notified to the third parties to whom the data has been transferred,
  • Object to a result against you arising from the analysis of the processed data exclusively by automated systems,
  • Request compensation for damage if you suffer harm due to unlawful processing.

How to apply

You can send your requests to us in writing or by other methods to be determined by the Personal Data Protection Board: you can send an e-mail to info@b-kant.com or submit a written application to the address above. In your request, you must state your identity and the subject of your request clearly. Under Article 13 of the Law, applications are concluded free of charge as soon as possible according to the nature of the request and within thirty days at the latest; if the process requires a separate cost, a fee in the tariff determined by the Board may be charged.

If the application is rejected, the response is found insufficient or no response is given in time, you may file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board within thirty days from the date you learn the response, and in any case within sixty days from the date of the application, under Article 14 of the Law.
